Hi guys!I found this notice and I realized the importance of getting a sound personal back-up of all the knowledge that is on the web we consider vital.
Homer did a superb labor keeping that files on his server during all this time for sharing, but now other people are in charge in the company now they are no available anymore. Paul Adams did a same thing while he had a website.
Thanks to Roger and Christian for keeping this knowledge available and alive.
Here is an exerpt of the notice on lightlink.com :
"ART MATRIX - LIGHTLINK
After 28 years in business Lightlink has closed.
As most of you know, Homer died in December 2022. There is no replacing him and we realize that Lightlink has no future without him.
We cannot thank you enough for your patronage over the years. Lightlink has been an incredibly rich experience because of our customers.
The Homer and Jane Team"
Yes, unfortunately things do get lost on the internet.
Just today, what a coincidence, I wrote to someone:
Yes, "the internet never forgets" is a misdirection.
Real gems need to be saved or we may not find them again when we want to revisit the information.
On the positive side, the internet allowed for a inter-connectedness of viewpoints that pushed a lot of things to the surface.
As an example, the old ESMB Forum Alan and Roger frequented is down today. With thousands and thousands of posts that were valuable (among a lot of crap :D ).
It is really important to save gems to the hard drive.
I even do it with videos from YouTube. It has become habbit on social media to censor information ("for our benefit and safety," of course).
Best regards,
Christian
Hi Christian
EXSCN IS STILL WORKING !!! :)
Researcher
Hi guys!
As Mario said, forum.exscn.net archive is working again! (Thanks Mario!)
Some months ago, as I remember, I couldn't access the site or see something, fortunately it came back to work.
You can type Alan on the "search by member" blank and find the Alan's posts, and you can type RogerB and access all the Roger's posts.
Pure gold!
OK, thank you Mario and Jorge for bringing me in present time :D
I was not fully up to date.
Christian
Thanks Fellas! Good team.
Folks also mistakenly think that the "Way Back Machine" will keep valuable materials available to them in the future, but there is a trap in that.
The Way Back Machine can only archive the materials freely available to it . . . as in our earlier Kn Practice Group, what was accessible to it was the public guest section; not any of the member level stuff. With all of the member type forums such as this Ascensionism.org the Way Back Machine only has access to the public section as a guest . . . . but none of the goodies.
Homer over at Lightlink was a very good man. I got to chatting online with him in his final year and was about to arrange for him to have our materials the way he had Alan's stuff. But the project was killed by his death.
Thanks to Jorge, we have all that Alan posted with Homer stored here on this site.

I was thinking about something like that along those lines, like how to create a .onion site hosted in a company with laws that would allow for sharing all the info publicly haven't figured it out yet. .
GOOD THINKING MEN!
I need some clever input on how best to provide for the continuance of our Forum . . . currently, it is hosted along with my Ability Consultants account at Godaddy.com. When I die and the Godaddy account is no longer getting its bill being paid . . . poof! All gone!
Rog
There is nothing really to worry about, Roger!
Paul, when he was still alive, and I have figured it out long ago. _`\|/´_
I will tell you next time we zoom.
