CLEAN SLATE HANDLING LEARNING DRILL SUCCESS.

PRECEPT 1. A prescribed rule of conduct or action; instruction or direction. 2.
Instruction or direction regarding a given course of action, especially a maxim in morals.
The basis and source of a belief system. (Study Series 3) 3. A substitute for you. It is a
substitute of your perception, because you’ve perceived through the precept. Precepts
are the basis for all study problems. The basic thing about a precept is it is a form of not
being there. The precept is there, and you’re not. (Lecture: "Comprehension of
Precepts," January 22, 1993)

Sometimes its the simple ,small, little things which prevents and keeps me from being more present and more often than not, that simple, small ,little thing is a belief system. To be more precise, its a PRECEPT.
I always thought I knew the definition of "precept" but it was whilst processing a certain area of my existence that the realization came that I did not have the full or entire definition. Point 3 in the definition above, I had never duplicated.

"The basic thing about a precept is it is a form of not
being there."

"The precept is there, and you’re not".

What I had done was to adopt a precept which governed how I interacted with others but when I applied that precept, there was very little to no reciprocation. Instead I became dominated. In reality the precept was intended to promote co- harmony, instead I became absent!

Lesson learnt and now another involuntary replication disguised as a good moral code has been has been thoroughly re-examined.

Yes, good one, Julian . . .

Precepts, unfortunately run on automatic involuntary replication, just like all of our old solutions put in place to "handle things for us."

Folks either are a walking, talking involuntarily replicated solution to an old problem or "not want to experience," or they collide with a circumstance that triggers the revivication of the old solution to life that then takes over.

Hence the take-over of and by the precept and the absencing of the true Being.

In the old days, Hubbard told us that Service Facsimiles were substitutes for self as well.

Was reading this, and thinking, what are the consequences of operating on precepts instead of the truth?
One of the biggest things, is it sets up what kind of realities are ok to exist in for your whole existence.
Even after we move on, maybe this is why ghosts stay ghosts, it has to be some way, the loss just can't be experienced , maybe why it seems so hard to move up in the zones of life abd spiritual existence.  If spirit is the ultimate source, it would dictate what is possible for the eternal future, i

No, a Precept is not a Code.

Precepts are aberrated think put on automatic to handle life for you . . .  with the result that there is less of you there in charge.
