I disagree that most goals are "escapes from."  Some of them are, like I want to get out of this job, I want to get out of jail, I want to get out of this concentration camp, etc. But most goals are a reach toward an affirmative, with no regard for a negative.

I beg to differ:

In the golden olden days, most cases were properly and fully run on Problem Intensives.

This would take anywhere from 75 to 150 hours.

You started by listing out every self-determined change.

i.e.

To lose weight.

To get married.

To get a degree.

To play tennis.

To learn to dance.

To get out of jail.

To get a better job.

To write.

To get better.

Etc., etc.

You would take the largest reading item.

Check for an area of confusion prior to the decision.

Get When?

Go 14 to 30 days before and 18 button prepcheck forward. The reason being was to find and handle the overts that preceded the prior confusion, and handle the prior confusion.

Then take the next reading self-determined change, and repeat.

You continued this sequence until EVERY self determined change, having found and handled EVERY one of the overts that preceded the prior confusions, and handled EVERY prior confusion in this lifetime.

The combination of this processing, Book One style handling of secondaries and engrams, Sec Checks, Multiple Serv Facs, 100-200 hours CCH's and Objectives would produce a this lifetime clear. That is a being without any this lifetime occlusion on their this lifetime time track.

This is a very important piece of technology as it picked up the areas of by-passed charge, force and mass on the this lifetimes timetrack. This vital piece of technology has almost disappeared.

Yes, though, in my view the tech I later introduced to Alan of locating and restoring THE PRIOR POSITIVE to all of the confusion, harmful acts and chaos and confusion is and was THE missing tech all the way through from Hubbard to my discovery of "The Prior Positive" that I gave to Alan.  That was written up elsewhere that, when I gave the tech breakthrough to Alan over lunch, he said: "You've always got to process the positive!"  (He always had to be righter than all others (M& )

To which I replied: "But that ain't written anywhere!"

He got the point and cooled down  . . .

As you will have noted, I even recently have sung the song that going for the negative, negative, negative to be gotten rid of all the time does not restore your positive power and ability properly to being under your full knowing control . . . though it does relieve you of some of the feelings of being oppressed by the negative.

And it is these nuances of what is needed that make all the difference in the success you seek.

I lectured on this point in Pasadena at the Free Zone 2009 Conference.  I must dig up my posts on that conference in the old forum and put that data here for the new members!!!

Also, as to Alan's comment about 100-200hours of CCHs (they are objective process done in the physical universe such as, "Look at that Wall . . . etc"; "Give me that hand," etc.)   CCH is short for "Control, Communication and Havingness."

In 1961, I was put through over 100-120 hours, straight, day after day, mainly of CCH1  . . .  reason being, I kept having realizations and expansion, and the rule was in those days, you don't stop when the client (PC) is showing change!!!!

Well big wins and cognitions are change . . .  but the idiot tech of 1961 did not know that you should allow the client to a) take and have the win and, b) originate that "that's it for now" . . .

Plus, there are the hundreds of hours of similar processing as training routines plus my delivery of that tech to others . . . God alone knows the extend of present time physical universe type processing I have had and benefited from . . . and this apart from years of athletic and swim training I did . . . . all in fact teh present time process of deliberately and knowingly directly exercising your volition to cause in the physical universe!

And so, I tell you this in the context that all of that action of deliberate control of and in the physical universe does have something to do with a) the beam power I have and can apply in addressing the case to be handled, b) my current control of case I have and, c)  the speed with which I can now process and get the quality and quantity of gains I get.

It seems, "blood, sweat and tears" is where it is at [OMG]

'Most goals are "escape froms." '

I was disabused of this from the writings of my other favorite author- Robert Fritz. He was an Artist and Composer and wrote about "Creating"(in contrast to problem-solving) from that perspective and the ideal type of goal would be for the same reason an artist creates their art- because they Love their vision so much they bring it into reality.
He gave an example of this, his wife was a Pianist, and she was playing between practice sessions, he asked her "Why?", to which she responded "Because I love to play the piano"  He asked again, got the same answer.
So he asked "But Why do you love to play the piano?"-  to which she replied "Robert, ...go away, I'm playing Piano!"

Some say 'the one who dies with the most toys, wins', but I think the one who lives spending the most time playing with their toys is the real winner.
Great memo.
