Presence and Appreciation

I had a great cognition today reading through some materials, particularly a lecture given by Alan titled "Classifications".

The lecture addresses the subject of Appreciation (among other subjects) and one sentence blew my socks off.

It was this one:
Quote
Now, you have to be present to appreciate – because what is appreciation but a form of extended presence, isn’t it?

It's obvious, right? Well, yes, but I missed to articulate it myself although I am working on some items that have to do with abuse, lack of appreciation, demands for perfectionism and such.
Pheeeeeew.  ;D

Of course has to do with presence. And the mood level has an impact on presence. Sometimes when not up to speed presence and the appreciation level will drop aswell. Ha! Of course.

I thought I leave it here. It's one of the "obvious obviousities", but good to have it articulated.

Best regards,
Christian
