GRATITUDE VERSUS APPRECIATION

GRATITUDE VERSUS APPRECIATION
I wrote on this issue on the old forum . . .

“Gratitude” is one of those overworked words in this modern age of “positive think” that is not correctly understood. Rather like its sister word: “consciousness.”

As usual, you should do a good dictionary dance to be sure you have the power of these concepts firmly in you grasp.

For me, the principle evoked in the attached document is not simply a nice theory. It is a matter of exact and clearly understood practice!

You see, in my daily doings and relating with other Beings in the context of our shared past, present and future, I emanate to them an empowering appreciation of what they have contributed to the game of life and existence that has been and is of value.

The outcome that is envisioned by me and achieved as a result of this appreciation of others, their presence and their causation in the game I am relating with, is that they are empowered, elevated in mood, and caused to be more positive.

Indeed, outflowing the consideration of appreciation to another/others for them to apperceive, so empowers them that they become much better partners in the game we share.

However, on the issue of “gratitude” I observe it places the grateful one in a less causative role in the partnership than can be enjoyed by the practice of appreciation.

For me, the outflow of my appreciating others to them is manifested as a co-create of their value and importance in our relating. It lifts them, and has them being more powerfully present and able to reciprocate with a return flow of powerful, positive Life-Force to share and enjoy.

It is a combination of all of the spiritual virtues such as honoring the other Being, love, understanding, and such.

Indeed, appreciation acts as a co-creating of their existence and Being.
