BEING PEPARED

ON BEING PREPARED

I am an old Boy Scout.  The motto of the Boy Scouts is "BE PREPARED."

Apart from the crazy geopolitical activities that are and will continue to impact the "supply chain" deliveries of both agricultural inputs and the foods that will be produced, there is the issue of weather impacts on food production.

Already, the last two seasons in both the northern and southern hemispheres have suffered large impacts from weather adversities.

I believe I already posted a link to the best and most honest source of info regarding weather/climate changes.  Here it is again: www.electroverse.co   (no 'm")  Cap Allon is the guy behind it. He has blown the whistle on weather impacts on our food production.

I personally only eat organically produced foods.  I say this in the context that in winter, such produce has to be shipped into New York from thousands of miles away.  In the case of protein, we are heading into a short supply and much higher cost scenario due to weather impacts throughout the mid-west agricultural areas that caused the beef herds to be decimated . . . two causes: a) monster snow storms during calving season (the little fellows don't do well being dumped into deep snow, and the ranchers simply cannot get around to rescuing them all) and b) too low levels of feed for the cattle.  The ranchers have had to cull their herds by dumping the livestock onto the market . . . which helped keep our prices down this summer.

In any event, the risk I see this coming winter and beyond is shortages of my preferred foods, if not shortage of food over-all for everyone . . .  the very likely scenario.  You may not have caught the info in the media you watch or read, but the fact is that the vital shipments of Russian and Ukrainian fertilizer did not occur in time to produce the next season's crops . . . and this apart from weather impacts like cherry crops in the US and Canada down 30+%, ditto for cereal crops in South America, Australia, the US and Europe.  Even the current wine crop in France is down 30+% due to weather impacts.

And the other important datum is that Nat Gas is a major component in fertilizer production.

So, thinking ahead, I have today purchased a seed sprouting system through which I can continue to get my needs met of good food.  Sprouted seeds in many ways are rather wonder-foods.  The good news is that the seeds will keep for as long as I need to be prepared.  If not needed this winter, they'll keep for the next or the next after that

Today, Sunday, October 2, I just came across this website below.

It addresses the looming famine that has all the indications of being deliberately caused.

I had earlier indications this might be so, but this site gives data regarding numerous deliberate decisions that will result in shortages of foods . . . Then, of course we do have the equally numerous accidental?? and coincidental destructive events that impact present and future food production and delivery.

Here's the link: https://tritorch.com/famine/

Hi Roger,

I have also been following this, and I believe that we are indeed headed for some shortages. Thanks for giving everyone a head up on preparing.
