BY-PASSED GRADIENTS EQUALS
SKIPPED LEVELS OF NEEDED KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

This is a big and important subject.

Of course it is well known that L. Ron Hubbard stole the data of “his” Study Technology from Chuck Berners (and his wife) who had discussed their discoveries on the matter with Hubbard while they were students on Hubbard’s then advanced Saint Hill Special Briefing Course.  Chuck and his wife were legitimate educators.

Alan Walter reveals the truth of this as a fact he was privy to at the time, in circa early 1964.

In my attached YouTube video of my presentation with my Sweet Virginia of a workshop we did for a bunch of tutors here in New York, I redefined Hubbard’s simple and incomplete statement on this phenomenon, as being a skipped or missing item of knowledge, understanding or ability required as a basic for the alignment, understanding and ability to perform at a later, higher level of subject matter.

An example of this would be that until the student has grasped and understanding of elementary basic math such as multiplication and division, he/she will fail at algebra and trigonometry. Similarly, in learning to snow ski, the student must go through a sequence of gradient accomplishments, on shorter skis before you put him/her on full-size ones and onto the expert “black run” slope. Also missing from the typical line-up given by ski instructors is the theoretical point of (needed) knowledge of why and come skis turn!

Dealing with the scientific world of PhD types as I do, it is shocking to observe the level of “out gradient” and bypassed gradients of required knowledge and data points for them to be able to align and understand not only our subject of spiritual truths, but the actuality of scientific subjects outside of “their specialty.”

And they can be quite arrogant about their assumed brilliance as PhDs.

So, for now, I don’t recall if this video of my workshop to tutors in New York based on the materials in my book: “How to Learn-How to Teach: Overcoming the Seven Barriers to Comprehension” is on this, our new forum!!

Here is the video link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-i24_h-yGY

The first 5-6 minutes is “housekeeping,” giving out materials, etc.

A point I should clarify here based on some feedback I received from an individual who did not see the application of the final drill I had the attendees do.  I stated that that drill caused both an imbalance between Mass and Significance , , , but also the by-passing a gradient . . . .

Please observe that the by-passing of the gradient occurs at the exact point in the drill when the client/student goes past the first failed to be performed action that prevented the next action from being able to be accomplished.

This occurred because the drill asked the students to continue on past that point. Had I asked that they stop at the point of losing control, that point would not have been by-passed.

PS: Just between we friends, I am rather proud of my brilliance of creating the drills I devised to get the attendees experiencing the mental phenomena needed to give them an experiential  understanding of the points I wanted them to comprehend

Thanks Rog!
Now we have the link of your video in our new forum.
Excelent book by the way!
The truth is the way up.
