OTHER SOURCED ADVICE

There are lots of clever folks out there in the universe about us.  I get daily emails from some of them.

Here is one:

Here's Today's Tip... Leadership.
Leaders are trained, not born. Effective leadership involves leading others to reach their full potential and to help inspire the success of others. Training to be a leader must be intentional, and a good place to start is with the 6 Cs of Leadership, which are:
  • Connection
  • Character
  • Consistency
  • Communication
  • Courage
  • Competence
Let’s unpack these a bit.
Connection. Connection doesn’t just happen. You have to be available -- physically and mentally -- and you have to give your time if you want to be a leader. So, make sure that you are available. Time together conquering a shared adversity builds deep connections. Do hard things with those you’re leading, whether that’s your kids, co-workers or athletes. Working out, learning together, talking about the lessons learned from the losses, and managing the wins well are all ways to spend quality time together.
Character. A leader with a lot of character does right by others. Doing what’s right requires living out of a set of principles. Live out of principle not preference. Do you have a set of principles that drive your behavior? Don’t fall into the trap of being transactional. Don’t give others something simply for the sake of getting something in return. Instead, be a transformational leader.
Consistency. Be consistent in the following areas:
  • Behavior – how you carry yourself throughout the day
  • How you treat people – all people
  • Show up on time – be there, always
  • Prepare the right way – have a system/routine for your meetings, practices etc.
  • Pay attention to details –  the small details matter and add up to the big wins
Communication. We live in a distracted world. Even if you have the skills to stay focused, things are changing all the time. You must develop the communication skills to adapt to whatever comes your way. Ways to develop your communication skills:
  • Talk in the mirror – Watch your facial expressions.
  • Try to tweet your message – Twitter limits how many words you can use. Being able to communicate your message succinctly will foster better communication.
  • Plan ahead of time – Reacting in the moment will often produce the least effective words.
Courage. Courage is feeling fear and going anyway. Fear is part of the journey. And crawling, scratching, and grinding your way through all the adversity that comes your way is the only way to reach success at the end of the road. Courage can’t exist without fear. So, the next time you sense that adversity, welcome it and put into action the process you created to overcome it.
Competence. Do you continually develop your skills? Having complete knowledge of your craft and the skill set to coach, mentor, etc., it is paramount. You have to know how to close the gap from where you are to where you want to be.
Mastering the 6 Cs of Leadership is what will get you the championship. The kind of coach you are matters, but the kind of person you are matters more.
Character counts.
Courage counts.
Communication counts.
Consistency counts.
Connection counts.
Competence counts.
Develop all of these skills, and you will become a great leader.

Since I see the clever people we have here are interested in info that benefits them and addresses the issue of their physical bodily longevity, I think I should post this info to you.

It came to me from one of my regular sources of valuable info this morning.

It is rather definitive, up to date science on the subject how best to manage and run/maintain a healthy, optimized body.

As you all know from my earlier postings, I have been personally very attentive to optimizing my physical bodily condition for 70+ years.  Of course the science and knowledge available on this subject has changed markedly during those years.

What is in the attached pdf file is up to the minute data, and what I have been practicing for a couple of years now and found to work brilliantly.

As a note, it always interested me why it was that I felt so good in my youth when I was doing my training or competition on an empty stomach (I hit the swim pool at 5:00am each morning to do 2 hours of intense training, and on competition days (Saturday & Sunday) ditto, I would feel so energized and clean . . . the answer to the optimized condition is in the attached document.

Even in the mid-nineteen-fifties we knew that burning fats for fuel was superior to that stupid "carbo-loading" later introduced to the marathon running community by a guy who died too young, probably because of it.

Since many of you guys, like me, have been adding age to your existence (M&  and with that the possibility of needing trips to the medical facilities for handling,  I have some very important knowledge and personal experience to pass on to you . . .

It is fully written up in the attached pdf from one of my favorite sources:  NEXUSNewsfeed.com (they also do a print magazine).

As you know I had to undergo spinal surgery the first days of November 2020.  Due to the location being the spine itself, the surgeon could do a "spinal block," which I did use for my Prostate "resection."  I have avoided general anesthetics like the plague all my life.  (Though they did use Chloroform on me as a kid to do my tonsils (/+

Apart from the very painful recovery (surgery or damage to bone is a bitch compared to soft tissue flesh) . . .  my main bad outcome  was that I noticed my memory had been affected.  This was a bitch.  It has affected my ability to partake in online discussions with the science community without losing train of thought or reference to data or points I had to make.  It was not uncommon for me to suddenly "lose the word" or thought I wanted to express.

Up till recently I thought it was a case phenomenon . . . you know, the old Dianetics data, stuff.  And I was also wondering if or what the folks in the operating theater might had said or done that impacted my "mind" or spiritual record.

Handling the scene on that basis did not got the outcome wanted.

Then, about 3 weeks ago, I got the right answer needed!!!!

It is written up in the attached pdf.  It refers to the "Post Operative Cognitive Decline" inflicted on patients due to the DRUG USED as the anesthetic!!

So I give you this because if you are faced with surgery, I recommend you insist on using "Acupuncture" (even open-heart surgery has been done with it) but have the regular anesthesiologist on standby "in case."  (Talking with my regular MD who is my guy I use for regular blood-work . . .  he had a realization when I revealed all this to him . . .  and my idea of acupuncture with back-up, really charmed him.)

The good news is that, getting the correct "why" of my memory situation has helped immensely, and the situation is now being resolved, if slowly.

You see in the article just how and why the drugs screw with the memory.

Intermittend fasting and Autophagy

Re: Intermittend fasting and Autophagy

I'm trying it out. I paused any food and calory intake yesterday for 16 hours and today for 19 hours now and still going. Will have only one meal today.
My head feels lighter. Let's see. Generally I feel a lot going on in my bio-physical body. As if some kind of reparation or cleaning is taking place. (I'm actually very perceptive of my body and its changes when I put my attention to it.)

Thank you for reminding me of this, Roger. I wanted to do intermittend fasting for a long time but always put in on "someday later".
What I really want to (should) fix is my sleeping habbits. I am going to bed late into the night.
Unfortunately the video with interview of Mercola and Ari Whitten you sent me the other day (may 22nd) is not up on mercola.com anymore. It was very inspiring and wanted to watch in full but did only a third of it. Anyways... will find more data on it (circadian rhythms).

All the best,
Christian

Re: anesthetics

Yes, anesthetics suck and I avoid them like a plague.

In the 1800s and early 1900s there were some methods by Franz Mesmer and his successors that became a threat to the anesthetics industry and also many of the medical community were displeased with his methods. What could he do? Well, he could mesmerize people. Hahaha...
While there was lots of erroneous thinking for sure back in the day connected to the field the medical and pharmaceuthical industry barred any research in this area (nothing new, they did the same with naturopathy etc.).

The story of Mesmer is actually interesting. You can look it up on Wikipedia. It's biased but will give you a good idea of the scope of his reach and the discussion that was going on. Forgotten history.

This may or may not be a true story . . . but the message it carries is important.

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.

That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.

No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Vietnam and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin before. He looked so handsome, so mature.

The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'Yes.' Then he said: 'Mark talked about you a lot.'

After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.

'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed... We thought you might recognize it.'

Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.

'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark treasured it.'
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'

Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding album.'

'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'

Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all his friends who would never see him again.

The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.

So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

This came to me in this morning's email traffic.  I have long appreciated Caitlin's material.

We’re Here To Become As Conscious As Possible

Caitlin Johnstone
Jun 16
If there is a purpose of human life, as near as I can tell from these severely limited sense organs and this very limited brain, it's to become as conscious as possible.
If you were given a video game to play without knowing anything about it, one of the first things you'd probably try to work out is what the objective is. How do you do well in the game? What do you need to do to move from this part of the game to the next part? How do you win?
If you didn't receive any instructions, you'd probably try to deduce the game's objective by seeing what actions make things better for the character you're controlling on the screen. Does the game reward your character for solving the puzzle? Do you get points for killing the space aliens? Does it make a happy noise and move you to the next level when you find the blue key? Whatever makes things better for the character and their progress through the story probably has something to do with the game's objective.
If I were looking at the human experience with the same kind of detached, big-picture perspective as someone playing a video game, I reckon I would eventually deduce that what makes things better for the characters in the game is the expansion of consciousness.
I'd probably first start to notice that things get better for humans as they become more aware of the way their world works. As their understanding of toolmaking, medicine and plant life expands, so too does their ability to survive and reproduce. When their understanding of science really takes off, I'd notice their population explode alongside those expansions.
I might later notice that human life tends to become less unequal as people's awareness of the plight of others expands. By expanding their consciousness of what other people's experience of the world is like, a slow realization begins to dawn that we're all basically the same and it doesn't make much sense for some people to be treated differently from others. This expansion would happen in the same movements as expansions in philosophical, sociological, psychological, political and historical understanding.
I might also notice that individual humans tend to experience greater enjoyment of life as their own personal consciousness expands. As they become more conscious of how their actions affect others, they begin moving more harmoniously in society. As they become conscious of their own unique psychology and their personal history of trauma, they'll find themselves doing fewer self-destructive things. If they become deeply conscious of how thoughts, perception and experience actually happen on a fundamental level, they may find themselves embodying what spiritual traditions call awakening or enlightenment.
I'd probably start noticing that in fact every major positive change in the way humans operate, whether for an individual or for a group of any size, is preceded by an expansion of consciousness.
And I would probably deduce from there that this humanity game we're all playing is about becoming as conscious as possible, of as much as possible. Becoming conscious of our own inner processes as individuals, becoming conscious of the human condition, and becoming conscious of what's true about the world around us.
From there I assume I would deduce that anyone who is on the frontier of expanding human consciousness in any way or in any direction is playing the game well, and that those who are stagnating without learning or growing haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet.
If you choose to accept this as a legitimate perspective, then it would make sense to assume that our short time on this planet is best spent expanding consciousness in some way, or in all ways.
You might even find that expanding consciousness in one way helps your ability to expand it in other ways. You might find for example that expanding your awareness of how your own mind operates gives you more awareness of how other people's minds operate, and how they can be manipulated by powerful people using propaganda. You may also find for example that expanding your awareness of the plight of people less socioeconomically and geopolitically advantaged than yourself expands your own personal awareness of the various socioeconomic and geopolitical dynamics which have given rise to the way your life is right now. You may also find for example that expanding your consciousness of your own inner processes gives you a serenity which makes it easier to look squarely at the horrors you encounter when expanding your awareness of what's going on in the world, and gives you the humility to see that you are not fully separate from those horrors.
The game of humanity will keep improving as long as our consciousness keeps expanding. I'd go so far as saying that's the only thing that can cause things to get better, and that failing to do it guarantees things will get worse.
Like a video game, I believe we humans are free to either win this game or lose it. We will either keep expanding our awareness of what's really going on in this weird universe our mothers birthed us into, or we will wipe ourselves out via nuclear war or ecocide.
Either way, if you choose to accept what's being said here, we do each have the power to make things better by exactly one unit of human effort. We can help spread awareness of what's going on in the world by fighting the lies we've been told by the powerful and drawing attention to things the powerful would rather keep hidden. We can help spread awareness of the human condition with art and with empathy. We can expand our own consciousness by getting very curious about how we operate and what makes us tick, and being very real with ourselves about what we find in that exploration.
Whatever you choose to believe about all this, it's your adventure. I wish you the best in your travels.

Bob Bly is an accomplished copy writing professional and tutor.

This little ditty by him I think applies to anyone who wants to succeed at anything  . . .  it certainly something I benefited from in my days as a champion swimmer; and also today in the context of my accomplishments in the game of forwarding our spiritual powers and abilities endeavor.

Dear Direct Response Letter Subscriber:

I got an email from Amazon recommending to me the book
"Memorization for Actors" by Alexa Ispas.

It caught my attention because, for many years, I used
to marvel at how actors could memorize plays, TV, and
movie scripts -- and recite their many lines without
cue cards or teleprompters.

But that all changed when, at age 17, I played alto
clarinet in the orchestra pit for our high school
senior play -- "Bye, Bye, Birdie."

And I discovered this simple memory trick for actors:
repetition.

The actors and orchestra members rehearsed for the play
daily.

Our first rehearsal for "Bye Bye Birdie" was after
school on a Monday.

And I was amazed that my friends with speaking parts in
the play were able to perform -- almost flawlessly --
without a script in hand.

But, after only a week or so of daily rehearsals, I too
knew the play by heart.

And not just one part ... but the entire play ... and
without deliberately trying to memorize the words.

The secret?

Repetition.

After hearing the play performed a few times -- even
though I sat below the stage and focused on the score,
not the script -- I soon knew virtually every line of
every character in every scene.

The lesson in all this is: repetition is a vital part
of learning virtually everything.

And therefore, rote -- mechanical repetition -- is
valuable and necessary... an incredibly powerful memory
"hack."

This observation led comedian Steven Wright to quip
ironically, "If self-help books really worked, there
would be only one of them."

Similarly, many copywriters will copy by hand a
particularly strong ad they run across multiple times.

In the same vein, Michael Jordan said he has taken well
over 200,000 practice shots in his life.

A famous concert violinist once said it this way:

"If I miss 3 days of practice, the audience will hear
it.

"If I miss 2 days of practice, the conductor will
hear it.

"And if I miss even one day of practice, I will hear
it."

And then there's the young man who asked another man
in the street: "How do I get into Carnegie Hall?"

"Practice, my boy," said the older man,
"practice."

Today's "Change That Up" . . .

Today's Tip... Motivation.
“I don’t want to.” How many times have you said this? Guess what? A lot of people don’t want to get up, or work out, or make the call, or write the proposal, or ask for the ring.
But the people who act differently than how they feel are the ones who achieve great things.
People think motivation is what gets you going. So, they wait for motivation to show up to get started. Other people think you are motivated or you’re not. But, that is a fixed mindset, and the good news is that your mindset is not actually set. It can move and grow.
Motivation is on a scale, and you can move yourself up the scale to ensure that your motivation grows stronger every day. Motivation is a decision you make every day.
Donene Taylor, author of The Heart of a Champion, said that every day you have to recommit to your commitments. Motivation speaker and author, Zig Ziegler said motivation is like bathing – if you don’t do it for a certain number of days you start to stink.
You have to do a little a lot. You have to play the mental game with yourself to keep yourself motivated every day. So, how do you play the mental game to maximize your motivation? Here are 3 things to help you move the motivation needle:
1. You have to make it so easy to get started.
So many times, we set these huge goals, but then we don’t reverse engineer those goals into a process filled with tiny steps. You have to make it easy to take the first step. It’s the start that stops most people. So, make it easy to get started.
Motivation comes after movement. When you make it easy to start and then you keep taking those tiny steps, you see that motivation shows up.
Eliminate the excuse that you don’t feel like it. No one feels like it. Get started and act like you are motivated. And then motivation shows up. Make it so easy to start that it’s hard not to.
1. Make motivation a daily habit and keep score.
What habits do you want to build into your day? Make a list. And then keep track of how you’re doing. Use a free app called Habit Share where you share our habits. You can keep a scoreboard for yourselves and each other.
Why?
Because measurement is motivation.
Imagine playing a sport without a scorecard that shows you and everyone your progress. If you don’t keep track of it, then it’s not important.
People treasure what they measure. If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.

1. Walk the walk and get others to follow you.
Be a leader who is so motivated every day that you motivate other people.
How do you do this?
Start by asking yourself these 5 questions:
  • What do you want? Clarity is key because you need to prioritize what you want. If you don’t know what you want then you will settle for anything. Saying yes to something means saying no to something else. So, make sure what you are saying yes to is really something you want.
  • Why do I want this? Knowing why you want something helps you focus. And that focus is what is going to keep the motivation coming.
  • How will this improve your life? How does it make your life better?
  • Who else benefits? When you pursue this goal and achieve this goal, who will benefit? Who else does this positively impact?  This is important because you have to be careful of who you become on your way to achieving this goal. When you have a really big goal you’ll have to make decisions. When you make those decisions, you are saying yes to some things and no to others. Yes to some people and no to others. So, be sure who you are saying yes to and who you are saying no to. Be careful of the person you are becoming on your way to achieving this goal.
  • Who suffers if you don’t get what you said you wanted? Who are you going to let down if you don’t achieve your goal?  Don’t let others down. Stay motivated, stay committed. Follow through on what you said you were going to do to get what you want.
What do you want? What impact do you want to create?

I coach folks who actually attain their ideals

I was reading the information at this link on Nexus Magazine (online):
https://nexusnewsfeed.com/article/spiritual-psychic/unconscious-becoming-conscious-understanding-the-nature-of-negative-forces/

Rudolf Steiner is another one of my heroes.  This is what was in the post that sparked an ascension for me just now:

Unconscious becoming conscious: understanding the nature of negative forces
What people of the fifth post-Atlantean epoch must learn to recognise is the fully conscious struggle against the evil rising up in the evolution of humanity.’ ~Rudolf Steiner, 18 November 1917
According to Austrian metaphysician Rudolf Steiner, the task of humanity in this epoch is to comprehend the relation of good and evil; especially, the human choice between good and evil, and the challenge of evil to make humanity more aware of spirit-consciousness. In our present age, we are to experience the negative counterforces in order to move through to greater development. Steiner stated that the ‘forces of evil’ exist in the world so that humanity might, at the appropriate time, break through into a ‘life of the spirit.’[1]
The presence of the counterforces gives humanity an opportunity to gain insight into the human condition, as well as the life conditions in this earthly domain. By having some understanding of the intention of opposing forces, a person is better prepared for continuing their own journey. That is, we each can learn from our encounters with negating forces; we can take these encounters as an opportunity to connect more strongly with our own force of will. In the words of philosopher Sergei O. Prokofieff:
In addition to working intensely on oneself, especially with regard to eradicating falsehood of any kind and all aspects of fear, together with all overt and secret inclinations towards materialism – something different is required, namely, a working together of human beings in the social realm that is based on spiritual principles.[2]
***
It was in analyzing the first two paragraphs that I had my insight and ascension.

As I looked to inspect the, or any, negative forces I might unwittingly be sitting in and unwittingly resisting; YEP, a biggie popped.

In actuality, it was so big and all embracing of me, I had failed to spot it when doing my "Free Radical Identity Handling" attempts that I've noted to you all before.

The basis of it all began in the Supreme Beings Universe where we were all in union, infinitely aware, and able to apperceive the totality of what any individual in the union emanated into and to affect the union . . . but the joker in the pack that was missed till now was that what did me in (you can speak for yourself)  (M& was that the evil image was extended on into the Universal Visions that  created our future.

For me, the evil and destructive conceptual image projection that did me in was that I was occluded, blocked and unable to be aware of or know what was preventing my causative capacity and reducing me to being collapsed and in effect.

You advanced guys who are familiar with my case items will understand the full extent of why that concept I had been made effect of was so damaging to me.

Just now, spotting the exactness of the evil I got hit with, when and by whom, blew it along with the whole chain to present time that I have been effect of till now.

Quite a weight of my "shoulders"!

And, as I look right now in this instant while writing this, I see my ability to perceive honestly and correctly the EVIL that has been created into existence in our universe, and is right now being practiced and by whom, has opened up and become available to me.

And what a feeling of real freedom that is!
